Financial Aid is a general term for many levels and types of funding assistance for college study. Even though NAU's tuition rate is one of the most affordable in the nation, many students require financial assistance for all or part of their education. In some cases financial aid may be a loan that must be repaid; in other cases it may be a grant or scholarship that is awarded without future repayment requirements. In every case, to be considered for aid you must complete the appropriate paperwork, enroll in the requisite number of units or credit hours, learn when aid will be disbursed and whether you are responsible for paying your tuition and fees up front, decide how you want to receive your extra financial aid, and stay on top of all deadlines.

Finding money to ease college costs can be time-consuming. The good news is that there's money out there; you just need to search smart. The NAU Office of Financial Aid can help determine your eligibility and guide you through the process.
