Maybe you are thinking of returning to school to finish a degree you started
before 'life' happened. Maybe you've been taking classes at your local
community college and have decided to pursue a four-year degree. Or maybe you
always intended to attend college and now is the right time.
The first thing you'll need to do is gather together some facts about
yourself. Whether you've made the decision to earn a degree or
take a few classes you will need to apply to the university .
The application form will require some
details about where you've been taking classes, your background and your
goals. You'll want to be prepared and have this information handy.
Next you should decide whether you want to begin a degree program.
Distance Learning offers accredited four-year undergraduate degrees, graduate
programs and professional certifications and endorsements. Take time to read
about some of the exciting programs we
offer in education, nursing, business, science, social services, and liberal
arts. As part of this process you may want to talk with one of our
advisors or access the online career-planning
guide and the course catalogs.
Third, you should assess how to finance your education goals.
NAU tuition is an excellent
bargain. Even so, we know it can be hard to juggle all your commitments. Read
about the many types of aid available such
as scholarships, grants, loans, work-study, and more.
Fourth, you'll want to learn which NAU campus you should partner with
to achieve your goals. If you are an Arizona resident you can take advantage of
the over 30 campuses we maintain
across the state. Staff at these campuses can assist you through your entire
NAU career. Or you may choose to work with our Distance
Learning Service Center staff. They are trained to serve you in every
detail of your education experience.
Now you are ready to select and enroll in classes. Use our
class search pages to find the classes you need. The search will help
you drill down to details about each class, such as fees involved, a
description of the class content, where and when the class will meet, and who
will teach the class. Use our faculty search
to learn more about our faculty and their qualifications. When
you're ready, enroll in classes online, in person, or by mail.
Pay for your classes when you enroll or by the
applicable deadlines. Locate where your class will be held
or, if it will take place online, review our tips for being a
successful web student.
Attend class and pursue your education at NAU. It's one of the smartest
decisions you will make.
