NAU Distance Learning Live Help

Welcome to NAU Distance Learning.

NAU Distance Learning allows students to pursue higher education through alternative learning environments that meet the demands of today's busy student. Distance Learning is flexible , delivered through new and innovative technologies, and allows students to meet their educational goals outside of -- or in conjunction with -- a traditional classroom setting.

NAU has been providing higher education opportunities through Distance Learning to Arizona citizens for 25 years. Initially these services were delivered via television and only focused on a few core programs. With technological advances, NAU now employs a variety of mediums to deliver programs to students worldwide.

NAU offerings have more than doubled in the last three years, with increased emphasis on online degree and certification programs at both the bachelor and master degree levels. NAU currently offers over 65 degree, certificate, and endorsement programs - many of them available online via the Web. Likewise, programs are also available at the local level via campuses located throughout Arizona. Distance Learning reaches across disciplines including Education, Arts and Sciences, Forestry, Health Professions, Engineering, and more.

NAU Distance Learning students are typically professionals seeking career advancement through higher education. The demands of full-time employment and family, plus the challenges often imposed by geographic location make it difficult for many students to participate in traditional classroom programs. As a result, NAU Distance Learning is often the only higher education option available to them.

The dynamics are changing to include additional student populations looking for alternatives to the traditional classroom setting. Approximately 30 percent of NAU Distance Learning students are under 29 and enrolled in undergraduate programs. NAU Distance Learning continues to adapt to serve an evolving student population driven by different educational needs.

The University is committed to incorporating new learning opportunities in its repertoire of traditional learning. With a strong commitment to education, continued faculty involvement, and visionary staff, NAU continues to be a leader in Distance Learning and is dedicated to helping students meet the demands of an ever-changing world.
