Instructional Resources
As an NAU Distance Learning faculty member you are often the student's primary
contact with NAU. To increase your effectiveness as an NAU representative and
instructor, see the resources available on this page. NAU hopes that you'll
find tools to enhance your professional development, find contact information
for administrative and academic offices, access classroom forms and policies,
and refer your students appropriately to resources important to them.
If you have questions or need help connecting with the right NAU resource,
contact the Distance Learning Service Center at 1-(800) 426-8315 or (928)
523-4212.
The most important initial step to having a successful experience teaching with
NAU is to obtain a JAN account.
This account will be required to:
-
Receive important NAU email regarding class evaluations and more
-
Access current class rosters
-
Enter your final class grades
Simply call 1-800-426-8315 ext. 1511 and ask to set up your JAN account. By the
end of the phone call, you'll have a user ID and password. Faculty who are new
to NAU and are not set up in the NAU payroll system will need to submit a New
Hire Packet before their JAN account can be activated. Once the New Hire Packet
has been processed, you will be notified by Distance Learning Services that
your JAN account is ready to be activated. If you do not regularly check your
NAU email account, it is imperative that you forward your email to your
personal email account. You can forward your JAN account to an email address of
your choice using the
ITS Email Account Manager. For additional resources that require a JAN
account, see our Restricted Resources.
