Adding a Class

Adding classes is the same as enrolling in a class. Before you try to add or enroll in class you will need to apply and be admitted to NAU. We also recommend that you review your class selections with an advisor. Contact your local NAU campus office or the Distance Learning Service Center for help with any of these steps.

There are several ways you can add a class. To add classes in person or by mail, fill out the add section of the Enroll/Add/Drop Form. Make sure the information on your form is complete. If sending it by mail, it must be received by the term deadline to add a class. You can also take your form to your local NAU campus office before the term deadline and they will help process your add. Adding classes online is the quickest and most convenient option.

Each term has deadlines for adding classes. Check the calendar for enrollment and payment deadlines for a specific term. If you want to add classes after the deadline to add you will need to complete additional paperwork, and pay a fee. Adding a class after the deadline requires a Petition to Add After the Deadline form and a $25 per class late add fee in addition to your tuition and fees. To add after the deadline contact your local NAU campus for policy guidelines and assistance or get help from the Distance Learning Service Center, 1-(800) 426-8315 or (928) 523-4212.
