Our Services: Classes and Meetings
Classes
The primary function of NAU's Video Conference (VC) system is to provide
the delivery of NAU classes to various urban and rural locations throughout the
state of Arizona via digital video conferencing. There are 35 VC classrooms
located throughout Arizona, 5 of these classrooms being located on the
Flagstaff Mountain Campus and 3 being located on the NAU Yuma campus. Video conference classes can involve as few as two locations, or as many as 28, with the average
number of sites per class being 4 to 6 locations. Classroom technology allows
for the display of various media to all sites through the use of a computer,
pad camera, or VCR. NAU provides for delivery of classes via video conference year round
with offerings in a variety of degree programs.

Meetings
Services for the delivery of meetings via video conference are
available to University departments and outside organizations. Available time
for meetings is dependent on the VC class schedule, with VC classes having
the highest priority for system use. Most class activity takes place on the
system between the hours of 7:30 am to 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm with
most meetings occurring on the system between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Classroom
technology allows for the display of various media to all sites through the use
of a computer, pad camera, or VCR.
